About me

Hi, I'm Kim and welcome to my little education corner of the Internet. I am a central Florida native that could never imagine teaching or living anywhere else.  My teaching path has somewhat changed from when I started this blog. My 1st year of teaching, I taught 2nd grade in a Title 1 school in a different county. I then married the love of my life and moved north (one county).

I taught in public education for 10 years and LOVED it. But one day, I knew God wanted me to have a more direct role in my children's education.  So, I quit my job and started homeschooling. We just finished up our 1st year homeschooling and everyone LIVED!

As a now stay at home, homeschooling mom, I get to teach my favorite students.

I see their triumphs and struggles everyday and know that I am doing what God wants me to do.

As you read this blog, you will find that I speak often of all the different people in our house.  Oh, how we are different from each other.

The husband.
This is who God has chosen for me to walk through life with and all I can say is "Praise the Lord".   This Godly man keeps me grounded as well as shows me I can't plan every detail in life (and that is okay).

The kiddos.
They are quite a crew. They make me think I am charge, but we all really know who is... In our house right now we have our resident animal and Lego expert who is 10 years old, my right hand girl who is 9 years old going on 30, and then we have our "surprise!" babe who surprises us every day. He is seven years old and has been doing it his way since that early, early morning when he arrived.

  (please ignore the photographers foot)

I hope you enjoyed learning a little about me and will follow me on our journey of learning, laughter, and love in our homeschooling journey and in life!
